About this item

NanoH2O reverse osmosis membrane elements use TFN technology, with models for industrial process water, municipal drinking water, water reuse and commercial applications. Application suitability varies by model: the BW 400 models address industrial and municipal water needs, BW 4040 R is intended for light industrial process water and commercial applications, and CW 4040 SF is designed for spot-free rinse car wash systems and commercial applications.

BW 400 ES and ES L provide high permeate flow and salt rejection at low feed pressures, with documented benefits of low energy consumption and high permeate water quality. BW 400 R and BW 4040 R offer high salt rejection, fouling resistance and durability for reliable performance. BW 400 ES L and R G2 incorporate a 34 mil low dP feed spacer and optimized membrane surface hydraulics. Their documented benefits include reduced differential pressure, cleaning frequency, chemical use, membrane replacements, energy consumption and total cost of plant ownership. R G2 also offers stable performance recovery after cleanings. CW 4040 SF is shipped dry and offers good durability and low energy consumption.

  • Active membrane area: 400 ft² (37 m²) for BW 400 models; 85 ft² (7.9 m²) for BW 4040 R and CW 4040 SF.
  • Primary normalized flow ratings: 10,500 GPD for BW 400 ES L, ES and R; 11,500 GPD for R G2; 2,500 GPD for BW 4040 R; and 2,900 GPD for CW 4040 SF.
  • Primary stabilized salt rejection: 99.6% for BW 400 ES L, ES and R and BW 4040 R; 99.8% for R G2; and 99.0% for CW 4040 SF.
  • Primary test conditions: 2,000 ppm NaCl at 150 psi for BW 400 ES L and ES; 2,000 ppm NaCl at 225 psi for BW 400 R, R G2 and BW 4040 R; 500 ppm NaCl at 100 psi for CW 4040 SF. All ratings are at 25°C, pH 7 and 15% recovery; individual element flow may vary.
  • Element length: 1,016 mm (40 in.). Outside diameter: 200 mm (7.9 in.) for BW 400 models and 100 mm (3.9 in.) for BW 4040 R and CW 4040 SF. Dimensions are indicative and for reference only.
  • General-use operating limits include 600 psi maximum applied pressure and 45°C (113°F) maximum operating temperature. Specific applications may require more conservative operation.
  • All six models are certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 for drinking water systems.
