AJR Filtration POEX Series extended-life liquid bag filters use polypropylene media designed for longer service life and fewer changeouts. A thicker yet lightweight felt provides greater depth loading than traditional felt filter bags. AJR describes the media design as increasing dirt-holding capacity and improving collection efficiency without increasing initial differential pressure.

The composite filter medium is designed to collect a wide range of particle types and shapes within its depth. AJR reports two to four times the dirt-holding capacity of a standard polypropylene felt filter. The glazed exterior reduces the possibility of downstream fiber migration, while fully welded side seams, bottom seams and flange top prevent bypass through needle holes. Embossed media and micron identification provide a permanent visible reference during installation.

The manufacturer lists applications in automotive processes, inks, paints, coatings, adhesives, oil and gas, resins, lubricants, food and beverage, and general chemicals. POEX media meets food-contact requirements under 21 CFR 177.1520 according to AJR. The January 2026 sheet specifies a maximum operating temperature of 180°F and recommends changeout at 12–15 PSID; a potential differential-pressure maximum of up to 25 PSID is application-dependent.

Documented media ratings are 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 microns. Size P1 measures 7.06 inches in diameter by 16.5 inches long, and size P2 measures 7.06 inches in diameter by 32 inches long. The ordering guide offers AJR-P, AJR-F and AJR OSS flange styles with fully welded construction.
