Parker V-FORCE extended surface mini-pleat filters are designed for HVAC applications using rigid cell filters, including replacement of corrugated separator or supported pleat designs. Four mini-pleat media packs form a V arrangement with an open entrance that directs airflow through the packs with low resistance.
High-impact polystyrene components and 100% synthetic media provide an all-plastic filter without metal components. The media resists tearing and abrasion, and the construction supports use in high-moisture systems and some chemical or corrosive conditions. The rigid cell design is suited to variable air volume, high airflow, turbulence and repeated fan shutdown. The filter is fully incinerable.
Dual-layer synthetic media is pleated into an extended surface pack, with adhesive beads maintaining pleat spacing. Plastic support struts lock into preformed end panels, while foamed hot-melt adhesive seals the media packs to the struts to prevent bypass at the pack-to-frame joint. A header on the air-entering side supports latching or side-access installation.
- Current PH models are offered in MERV 13 and MERV 15 ratings per ASHRAE 52.2-2017.
- Current PH nominal face sizes: 12 x 24, 20 x 20, 20 x 24 and 24 x 24 in.
- Current PH rated airflow: 1,000-2,000 CFM, depending on size.
- Current PH initial resistance at rated airflow: 0.24 in. W.G. for MERV 13; 0.43 in. W.G. for MERV 15.
- Current PH models: recommended final resistance of 1.50 in. W.G.; continuous operating temperature up to 170 degrees F (76 degrees C).
- Current PH models are classified per UL 900 for flammability.
